LONG LEAF ACACIA FLOORING
Big leaf acacia ( aka. long leaf acacia or broad leaf acacia) which is another sub-species of acacia beside short leaf acacia ( acacia confusa.).The woods mainly distributed in South East Asian areas, mainly from Philippines, Vietnam & Malaysia, it is a fast grown timber, with lower strength & hardness than Acacia confusa.Check the comparison chart from here >>>>>>
Apparently long leaf acacia flooring with less rich wood black grains & lower natural hardwood sheen than short leaf one.But well dired timber still can stand up over 15 years as interior hardwood flooring.Lower cost 4-5USD/M2 cheaper than Chinese short acacia is another point people choose this wood.In addition, 4-5ft long plank acacia hardwood floors vaillable from big leaf acacia while quite difficult from short leaf one due to sawn timber size limitation.
